McKenna Weitzel – Outreach Director

McKenna Weitzel is a graduate student in the Environmental Policy and Management program at the University of California, Davis. Prior to entering the program she completed a year of service with AmeriCorps where she worked as the Sustainability Projects Coordinator for the Portland Public School District.

McKenna graduated UC Davis in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in environmental policy and a minor in sociocultural anthropology. During her undergraduate career, she acquired extensive environmental policy experience, performing policy-related research for former California Air Resources Board chairwoman, Mary D. Nichols, and Associate Professor, Dr. Gwen Arnold. McKenna also managed the Student Government Administrative Office, where she led the transition to an entirely paperless parliamentary system.
